The Jes Foord Foundation
The Jes Foord Foundation opened its doors in 2009 following the brutal gang rape of Jes Foord by 4 men, while her father Tim was forced to watch. Jes was overwhelmed by the support she received from family, friends, and her community. The money that was raised for her was used to start The Foundation. Jes' aim was to start an organisation that supported victims following their own traumatic ordeals, to restore lives after rape, to be that somebody to those that have nobody, and to educate people about the realities of rape in South Africa.
The Jes Foord Foundation relies on donations from companies and individuals who have the urge to bring hope to hundreds of people going through the harrowing aftermath of rape. When you give of your time or money to the Jes Foord Foundation, you are not only helping us to educate people about the very real problems of rape but you are also helping to revolutionise the way rape victims are treated, a revolution that is long overdue if they are to become rape survivors. You help them regain something priceless, their dignity and self-esteem.
